The Headline: Three-time gold medal champion, Faith Kipyegon, “failed” in her attempt this week to be the first woman to break the four-minute mile barrier.
She ended up running a world record time of 4:06.42, which bested her 4:07.64 time from 2023, but it won’t be recognized due to the conditions that Nike created.
