Friday Trivia
Morning thoughts:
I’m not sure if I have directly called this out, but I typically try to make the Friday trivia’s focus a little lighter. I somewhat think of it as my “ESPN8: The Ocho” for any of you Dodgeball fans out there.
The Headline:
In 1999, pro skateboarder Tony Hawk landed the world’s first 900 in competition at the X Games in San Francisco.
Earlier this week, that skateboard sold for $1.15M.
Today’s Trivia:
The Tony Hawk Pro Skater video game series is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time (over 30 million copies sold across its games).
What is the best selling video game franchise of all time?click to reveal |
Hint:
325 million units sold. The original release date for the first game was in 1993
Funny thing:
In case you haven’t seen it, Tony Hawk has trouble getting recognized in public, and it’s hilarious.
ESPN published this article back in 2021, which highlights some of the funny tweets that Hawk has posted about these interactions. If you have some time this Friday, check it out.
Yesterday’s Trivia:
Q: When was the last year the Mariners won the AL West?
A: The Mariners last won their division in 2001, which was Ichiro Suzuki’s rookie season
Answered Correctly: 53% (highest answer)
Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
