Friday Trivia
Morning thoughts:
A lot of good sports fun this weekend with the conference championships in college football, the Formula 1 champion will be decided, week 14 of the NFL, and regular season action across the NBA, NHL, and college basketball.
Today’s Trivia:
Here are the four major conference championships this weekend.
Big 12 Championship: BYU (11) vs. Texas Tech (4) at noon ET, ABC
SEC Championship: Georgia (3) vs. Alabama (9), 4pm ET, ABC
Big Ten Championship: Indiana (2) vs. Ohio State (1), 8pm ET, Fox
ACC Championship: Duke vs. Virginia (17), 8 p.m., ABC
Only one team among the 8 teams above has the opportunity to repeat as its conference champion.
Who is that team?click to reveal |
Hint:
They also made the CFP last season
Fun fact:
We got some write-in votes tallied for the recent New York mayoral election, and Knicks star Jalen Brunson took the win among athletes with 27 votes. He actually would be tied for the 12th-most votes with Hillary Clinton among write-in candidates if you count “Jaylen Brunson” and “Jalen Bronson.”
So good.
Yesterday’s Trivia:
Q: What conference was the first to hold a conference championship game?
A: The SEC was the first conference to hold a conference championship game after the conference expanded to 12 teams and 2 divisions in 1992. Alabama ended up winning on their way to a national title.
