Friday Trivia

The Headline: You thought the Kawhi Leonard cheating was something? Did you hear that the World Stone Skimming Championships have also been marred by a scandal involving foul play?

The World Stone Skimming Championships are held on the small island of Easdale in Scotland. Of the 2200 competitors, 3 were found guilty of doctoring their rocks to make them perfectly circular for the competition.

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Hint: The capital city is not the biggest in the country. I’m not actually sure if that helps or hurts to know that…

Stone Skimming:

  • Stones must be naturally occurring, and entrants choose their own stones before presenting them to the “Ring of Truth,” designed to ensure the proper dimensions are adhered to

  • Each competitor is allowed 3 chances

  • The world record is held by Kurt Steiner, who skipped a stone a record 88 skips in 2013

Anyways, happy Friday.

Yesterday’s Trivia:

Answered Correctly: 42% (highest answer)
