Friday Trivia
The Headline: American Amanda Anisimova (13) has become one of the best stories at this year’s Wimbledon.
Anisimova is a former teen phenom who completely stepped away from tennis for 8 months after the passing of her father (also her coach). At last year’s tournament, she came in as an unranked player and did not get out of qualifiers. She’s now one win away from becoming the first American since Serena Williams to win Wimbledon.
After yesterday’s semifinal win against the world No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka, the young American will take on 5-time Grand Slam Champion Iga Świątek (8) (who steamrolled Belinda Bencic in her semi).
TODAY’S TRIVIA: Anisimova might also be the only American in the finals at Wimbledon this year.
Starting this morning at 8:30am ET on ESPN, Taylor Fritz (5) takes on 2-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz (2).
The winner of that match takes on the winner of Jannick Sinner (1) and Novak Djokovic (6) (immediately following the first match).

Check out the women’s final on Saturday at 11am ET on ESPN, and the men’s final on Sunday at 11am ET (also on ESPN)
