The sports world joined the rest of the country this week in remembering Dolly Parton, who passed away at age 80. Beyond her legendary music career, Parton was a genuine, lifelong sports fan, and teams and athletes across the country paid tribute to her.

Her home state took particular pride in claiming her as one of their own, honoring her with a Sports Hall of Fame nod back in 2020.
