Monday Trivia
Happy Belated Mother’s Day! Hope you all were able to spend some time with your mothers this weekend.
TODAY’S TRIVIA: ICYMI, we have a new pope!
One of my favorite stories about newly elected Pope Leo XIV is that he was spotted at the 2005 World Series between the Chicago White Sox and the Houston Astros (the White Sox swept the series).
It has given a glimmer of hope to the South Side of Chicago, who, after setting the record for the worst record of all time last season, find themselves with only the second-worst record in baseball.
What team currently has the worst record in baseball?click to reveal |
Hint: They fired their head coach over the weekend and sport a 7-33 record with a -128 run differential
Yesterday’s Trivia: The North Dakota North Stars, although my dad (originally from North Dakota) would say otherwise, did not actually exist.
The Minnesota* North Stars did exist. They were originally the California Golden Seals before becoming the Cleveland Barons in 1976. In 1978, the team moved from Cleveland to Minnesota before finally becoming the team we know today, the Dallas Stars (where Mikko Rantanen is on an insane start to the playoffs).
The Atlanta Thrashers became the Winnipeg Jets in 2011, the LA Raiders moved to Oakland in 1995, and the Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis in 2001.

Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
