Monday Trivia
Morning thoughts:
What a doozy. So Miami is in and Notre Dame is out of the CFP, Max Verstappen came within 2 points of Lando Norris for the Drivers’ Standings, the number 1 team in college basketball (Purdue) got waxed at home by 23 points, and the World Cup draw.
Today’s Trivia:
I could have gone a few directions with this, but I thought a great storyline from this weekend is the James Madison Dukes. The Dukes, who made the college football playoff, ironically enough, because of Duke University.
I’ll explain: the College Football Playoff includes the top 5 ranked conference champions, which in most years, will mean Power 4 conferences (ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, SEC) plus the next highest ranked non-Power 4 conference.
By beating Virginia in the ACC Championship game, the Duke Blue Devils (8-5 record) were the ACC champions, but are not ranked, so that meant that James Madison (ranked 24th and the Sun Belt Champions) and Tulane (ranked 20th and the American Athletic Conference) are the next two highest-ranked conference champions.

Hint:
These are cities where the following Sun Belt teams are located: Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Marshall, and Troy
Friday’s Trivia:
Q: Who was the only team playing in their conference championship that had a chance to repeat?
A: The Georgia Bulldogs repeated as champions this weekend.
Answered Correctly: 38% (highest answer)
Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
