The United States defeated its archrival to the north in the Gold Medal game. Jack Hughes had the overtime winner, but it was our netminder, Connor Hellebuyck, who was the difference maker.

Ugh, I can’t begin to describe what this will mean for American hockey. It came on the 66th anniversary of the Americans defeating the Soviet Union in the Miracle on Ice.

You can’t write this stuff.
