One big story for the US has been striker Folarin Balogun.
Balogun, who had two goals in the first match against Paraguay, was almost not part of the USMNT. Although he was born in Brooklyn, he has eligibility with two different countries.
One of those countries is Nigeria (not in this year’s WC), and the other is a prominent European country.
