Morning thoughts:
Happy Thursday everyone! Is October the best sports month?
Today’s Trivia:
This week, Joe Burrow (who is on my dynasty team) got surgery to repair his grade 3 turf toe, which should leave him sidelined for about 3 months.
What exactly is "turf toe?"
- A dislocation of the big toe caused by repeated turf impacts
- A fracture of the sesamoid bones beneath the big toe joint
- A ruptured tendon on the top of the foot requiring surgery
- A sprain of the big toe joint, usually caused by hyperextension on artificial turf
- A torn plantar plate ligament under the big toe that destabilizes the joint
Hint:
No hint today, but here’s a fun fact: I did not know what turf toe was before yesterday
