Tuesday Trivia

Morning thoughts:

The game never seemed to end, but in the 18th inning (and almost 7 hours), Freddie Freeman walked it off in Game 3 of the World Series. What a game. Just epic.

It was the longest game in World Series history, Freddie Freeman became the only person with multiple walk-off home runs in World Series history, and Shohei Ohtani reached base a record 9 times (with 2 home runs).

I don’t have more thoughts on it because it’s three in the morning.

Game 4 is tonight at 8pm ET on Fox, where Ohtani will be on the mound against Shane Bieber.

Today’s Trivia:

Another high-profile coach is out. After a blowout loss to Texas A&M, LSU (5-3) has decided to move off from Brian Kelly after 3.5 seasons in Baton Rouge. He went 34-14 (19-10 in the SEC) and has failed to make the CFP.

Where was Kelly coaching prior to LSU?

Hint:

He coached here from 2010–2021.

This isn’t a hint, but LSU is apparently trying its best to negotiate the $54M buyout that they owe Kelly

Sports Equinox:

Also, did you feel it yesterday?

Yesterday was the first and only Sports Equinox of the 2025 calendar year.

We had action in the NFL (Monday Night Football), NBA (11 games last night), NHL (2 games), and MLB (World Series).

The first Sports Equinox occurred in 1971, and there have been 32 separate instances since then.

Yesterday’s Trivia:

Q: What team drafted both Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier?

A: They were both drafted by the Boston Celtics

Answered Correctly: 35% (Detroit Pistons was the highest answer)

Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow.
