Last week, American Ben Ogden captured a historic silver medal in the cross-country skiing sprint classic. It was the first medal in the event since 1976 when Bill Koch won silver in Innsbruck.
Both athletes grew up about an hour from each other in Southern Vermont, and Ogden even grew up competing in the Bill Koch Youth Ski League.
