North Carolina has broken their traditional pattern of hiring “in-house” and has found their next head coach to replace Hubert Davis.

They are reportedly hiring former NBA coach Michael Malone to lead the program. Malone has only coached as an assistant coach in the NCAA back in 2001 at Manhattan College (kudos to you if you knew that deep cut).
